David Park / 박형기
유타심포니 부악장(Assistant Concertmaster)으로 일하고 있는 David Park (박형기)씨가 오는 5월13일 (화) 8:00 PM부터 First Unitarian Church (569 S. 1300 E. SLC)에서 바이올린 독주회를 갖는다.
한국의 자랑스런 바이올리스트 데이빗 박은
서울에서 다섯 살부터 바이올린을 배웠으며 미국에 와서 야샤
하이페츠같은 유명한 예술가들로부터 사사받고 우수한 성적으로
줄리아드를 졸업한 후 인디애나 대학에서 음악학 석사학위를
받았다.
데이빗은 서울을 비롯한 전세계 유명한 도시에서 유수한
관현악단과 협연한 바 있으며 현재 유타 심포니의 부악장으로
일하고 있다.

David Park started playing the violin at the age of five in Seoul, Korea. Since coming to the United States, he has studied with some of the most renowned artists and teachers such as Jascha Heifetz, Josef Gingold, Dorothy Delay, and Yuval Yaron, receiving his Bachelor of Music at Indiana University and Master of Music at Juilliard School. Furthermore, he did studies in such summer festivals as Aspen Music Festival, Vienna Music Workshop, and Music Academy of the West where he was the Concertmaster, Concerto Competition winner, and voted the Most ○utstanding Musician.
David has performed solo recitals and soloed with orchestras in Seoul, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, and Vienna, in such concert hall as Sejong Musical Art Center, Wilshire Ebell Theater, Carnegie Weill Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Salle de Pleyel. David has also performed on national television and radio broadcasts. in l989, he returned to Seoul, Korea, for the first time by performing the Lalo Symphony Espagnol with the Seoul Philharmonic orchestra and giving a recital. Also in 1994, he performed the Vivaldi Four Seasons in Carnegie Weill Hall; and most recently in 1996, David soloed with the New York Harmonic Orchestra in New York for the Unification Concert of North and South Korea. David is also a member of the Lyric Trio and with the Utah Symphony in Salt Lake City.
